At the Asian American Arts Alliance, we believe that all our stories
deserve to be told, heard, and honored.
For the past 35 years, the Asian American Arts Alliance has championed the spirit of the arts, serving Asian Pacific Islander (API) creative professionals across disciplines by organizing workshops, building community, and advocating for social equality and inclusion—all to empower artists to have agency over their own careers.
Unfortunately, many opportunities remain limited to API artists because of assumptions around who we are, how we look, and what sells.
The Alliance has supported the careers of accomplished and emerging API artists, helping them get their feet off the ground and become role models for future generations. For decades, this has been made possible through the generosity and enthusiasm of the community—now it’s your turn!
Your donations will help fund the programs that directly support artists:
- Town Hall—Signature speed mixer + potluck that connects artists together with curators and other cultural decision makers;
- Alliance Arts Exchange—Workshops and panel discussions on the business side of artmaking;
- Fellowships—Grants and mentorship for artists in the visual arts, theater, music, and dance; and
- Civic Engagement—Advocacy work for inclusive funding and policies in the arts, including New York City's first-ever Cultural Plan.
And drumroll, please!
This year, the Alliance is expanding our services to the API cultural community nationally! Pilot activities across the country are being developed, including listening sessions to gather your input and advice about how the Alliance can contribute to conversations around race and identity.
Please donate today and make sure all our stories are told, heard, and honored.
